Public Works Conference

Maintenance workers, grounds keepers, park superintendents…we have created a conference just for you!

As you work to keep your municipality beautiful and safe for the public to enjoy, we hope you will take a couple days to join us to learn about new technology and methods to manage your recreational areas, sports fields, and the wildlife and pests that can be a nuisance in those areas. We will be offering a noncommercial political subdivision applicator training for those who are needing to acquire their applicator’s license to use chemical herbicide and pesticide controls in public spaces, followed by the Public Works Conference on the following day with our amazing team of AgriLife Specialists!

Wondering if you need a Noncommerical Political Subdivision Applicator License?

A noncommercial political subdivision (NCPS) applicator is employed by a political subdivision of the state of Texas or of a federal agency operating in Texas.

A person may not purchase or use a restricted-use or state-limited-use pesticide or regulated herbicides unless the person is:
• licensed as a commercial, noncommercial or noncommercial political subdivsion applicator in the use categories covering the proposed pesticide use; or
• an individual acting under the direct supervision of a licensed applicator.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED THIS YEARS PROGRAM…CHECK BACK SOON FOR DATES AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE 2021 PUBLIC WORKS CONFERENCE.
